Message: | The "Showcase Cover" concept is a fine one. I hope others will present items from their collections. Unfortunately, I do not have the computer knowledge to offer anything. The very detailed description of the cover in question is impressive and highly informative. A German military unit seal should have been applied, but judging from other covers sent to foreign countries, foreign postal administrations sometimes do not seem to have worried about the absence of a seal. Mail to concentration camp guards seems to be relatively scarce. I have a postcard sent from Rumania to a Buchenwald guard early in World War II and have seen a cover from Denmark to a Danish guard, probably in 1944. Benjamin R.
