The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Two books that might help are: Strobel, Wolfgang. Post der befreiten Zwangsarbeiter: Displaced Persons Mail Paid in Deutschland 1945-1949. Bonn: 2001. Heber, Manfred G. Katalog der Lagerpost um 1945. Elmshorn: 1983. The Heber book also appears to have been reprinted or revised in 1995. Old issues of the Michel Deutschland Spezial Katalog list these issues. Check the Global Philatelic Library for libraries that hold these titles. Ben Beede
