Message: | I would strongly suggest that they are bogus cancellations. I’ve seen a cover and some Luftfeldpost stamps on piece, all with the skull handstamp, at York stamp fair in the last year or two, described by the dealer as a post-war fantasy enhancement. I didn’t buy them. As to the Sorau canceller, genuine or not, it (or one quite like it) appears to have been sold on: http://thule-italia.org/ThuleItaliaEditrice/negozio/stempel-fliegerhorstkommandatur/?lang=en Finally, I’ve mentioned before on this forum the following website: http://www.intrenches.com/stampsheet.htm For sale there are several items sold apparently to allow film and TV companies to fabricate authentic looking documents for their productions. I’m sure no-one would use them for any other purpose, but I must admit, I now look at the pictures of their products when contemplating purchases in this area. | ||||||||||||||||||||
