Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Hi Charles, Those two belongs to a set of 4 stamps issued in 1919 by the Stamp Society in Kassel, as a protest for the peace treaties after WWI. The green value shows the center of Marienbad, and the red one the center of Strasbourg. They have the legends "Treu Deutsc" and "Triuw Diutsch" that means "Truly German". The set exist imperforate and with perf 10. I found them in a WWI cinderella catalogue of the central powers called "For God, Kaiser and Fatherland 1914-1918" by Alan Jackson. I have attached an images of thar part of the catalogue. Hope it helps! Fernando
