Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Good luck and I hope you get as much happiness collecting Third Reich as I have found over the years. I, too, cannot speak German and have found much help from the Payne series. Surprised noone suggested a publication by our friends in America, "The Germany Philatelic Society, Inc,": it is called "German-English Philatelic Dictionary". My copy is dated 1979 and consists of some 162 pages. I got my copy from a chap who deals in philatelic literature situated at Heaton Royds near Bradford; regrettably his name escapes me. I would recommend going to your regional group. There are only four or five meetings a year. I drive some 56 miles to Durham and enjoy meeting my fellow collectors as much as the display.
