Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Bill - I can read most of it but a few words elude me. It looks like a starry-eyed message from a couple of young lads who have just arrived at a Nuremberg rally (the year is not given in the text but you may have something on the other side): "Nürnberg, 11.9. Dear class-comrade, we have arrived safely in Nürnberg and everything has worked out excellently. There's loads of grub. (!) Today is the 'Day of the Armed Forces' (Tag der Wehrmacht)"...then I can't quite the next bit, it's maybe something like 'when we go to get our orders'. The two lads, Günther and Lothars, then sign off with the usual greetings from the 'man with the moustache'(although of course that's not how they referred to him or they would have wound up next day in a concentration camp). Cheers Giles
