Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Your message suggested to me that you need historical background. I have not had a chance to examine the book closely yet, but I recently purchased a copy o Birgitt Morgenbrod and Stephanie Merkenich's Das Deutsche Rote Kreuz under der NS-Diktatur 1933-1945 (Paderborn: Ferdinand Schoeningh, 2008). I am impressed by the book with its 483 pages and excellent documented, based heavily on archival research. I do not know how much postal information is contained in it so far, but I wanted a history anyway. Ben Beede
