Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Thanks for your comments. The postcard is a 6 Pfg. stationery card (Michel P314, 1944)postmrked Cuxhaven, no 'Feldpost' endorsement anywhere. It was sent from a camp just south of Cuxhaven. I did think that, perhaps, it was applied before entering the postal system but at the same time I suspect that this may not be so because of the Cuxhaven postmark; did it get 'censored' before being taken out of base or did the HJ members pool their mail prior to being released into the postal system (and hence censored)?
