Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Norman, A for Abend and M for Morgen were the standard forms used in postmarks before V and N became the norm (and I'm not sure when that was). They are not scarce as such though can become scarce the later they are used in the Reichspost era. The use of a composite time (e.g. one hour N to another hour V) is actually scarcer -- I have only ever seen one, a single-circle of 1871. A composite time V to N is less scarce, though still not common. Best wishes, Philip
