Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Dear Bob - Rohrpost systems were used in a number of cities. Perhaps your cards went through the Berlin system which was opened on 1 December 1876. The late John Duggan wrote an excelllent article about the Berlin Rohrpost in Germania Vol.31 No.4 (Nov. 1995), a copy of which I can supply. I also have one copy left of the late Neil Smart's excellent Monograph on the subject. Kind regards Giles
