Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: The difference between stamps from booklets (MH) and sheets (MHB) is that the stamps from booklets are always cut so the perforations are straight (and more often than not, off center). Panes from sheets were normally torn so the perforations show a rougher edge. Also stamps from booklets always have holes where the staple in the booklet was. If you have a 6 x 40 Pf pane with HAN 3148.21, it is always from a booklet. The same goes for HAN 3968.20 on panes from booklet 14.
