Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: I see that this query has not been answered. You don’t give its weight, normally written on the item. For a letter, the airmail fee was 50pf per 5g. A 60g letter would therefore cost 5pf x 12 = 600pf airmail fee plus 25+15+15=55pf basic postage, which is 10pf less than you 665pf. Is the item marked as business papers, for which the rate would have been different?
