The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
I have 2 similar fdc's for the 1961 Radio exhibition. The one I am posting has a number on it "LV 39". Cover dimension is 149mm x 96mm. The other cover is 166mm x 96mm and identical in terms of illustration and cancellations.
Please can you let me know what this means? Was it printed by the German Post Office as an official cover? Are there any other covers which had this number on?
