The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
This Postage Stamp Imprinted Stationery Postcard of St Vincent Over printed Gibraltar and sent to Berlin and date 18th May 1886. Written by Ferdinand Schott Y Larios. He was consul for Germany like his father in Gibraltar, his brother Horatio Consul for Austia-Hungary). Both Gibraltarian born and I have been collecting covers from them for a few years now. My question is the CDP Circular date Postmark a German Berlin arrival, I haven’t seen one like that (17 23/5 II). Hope someone came help.
