Message: I'm wondering if any members have seen other examples of this Mecklenburg-Scherwin, black, red and gold bordered envelope. This 10 September 1863 cover originates in Wismar and is addressed to Neubrandenburg via Rostock (see the backstamp), but I'm unable to understand why the black, red and gold border would originate in Mecklenburg-Schwerin in 1863, the year that the duchy adopted a blue, yellow and red flag.
