The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
I've got this rather odd cover, with the 1930 South America flight zeppelin stamps (Mi 438-9) on a cover cancelled with the 1936 Nurnburg Rally postmark dated 14.9.36. The stamps were not supposed to be valid for postal use after June 1931 according to Michel, but I guess that postal authorities might ignore this as it was posted at the Nurnburg rally. I'd be grateful for any comments as to whether the Nurnburg Rally postmarks are found cancelling out of date stamps.
