Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Here's a slightly strange postcard I found last weekend. I couldn't manage to read the script in it's peculiar layout, the 183 marks worth of German stamps didn't appear to pay the correct postage for anything on 24th April 1923, I wondered why the Swedish stamps were there, and I thought the post mark looked funny. After a bit of thought, I came up with a theory, and I wondered if anyone else would arrive at the same explanation, or maybe come up with a better one, so I've posted the picture s here for your consideration. Suggestions please, on a postcard... I'll post my theory in a few days.
