The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Although I have never concerned myself much with the inflation period of the early 1920s, deeming it too complicated for my taste, I have long been curious about the use of inflation stamps to pay postage. I am amazed that no one seems to have discussed this subject, although, admittedly I am not familiar with inflation era literature in any detail. It seems to me that such uses deserve as much attention as the use of "local" stamps at that time. What do inflation specialists know or think about the matter? Ben Beede
