The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
I am going to do a short showing of stamps based on the 1948 currency reforms. This is a "social philately" exhibit and I need some additional material. I have some contextual material from the usual web search. I was wondering if there was an inexpensive source for a few pre and post reform bank noted that anyone could point me towards. I'm not a banknote collector so tatty examples would do! Almost sure I saw some notes in a recent packet - but was not looking out for at the time.
Alternatively a source for pictures would be fine.
Also wondered if there were any online discussions etc I could look at.
