Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: I'm trying to find out what this guy was up to in late 1944. He wrote home to B&M using 2 Luftfeldpost labels, pmk Feldpost 10.11.44, his sender's address 'O.T. Mann Fisu, Fp Nr 10860/A.T.'. On the cover back is a pencilled note in Czech made almost certainly after the war: 69 degrees,7km to Finnish border, 9km to Sweden'. That puts him in the wilderness near where the 3 countries meet. What was OT doing there? I've tried Google, nix. Any help greatly appreciated. Philip
