The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
I have a 1927`nothilfe` postcard with the 1927 Hindenberg birthday stamp imprinted, also printed on the `card is a signed message from Hindenberg which seems to be part of the card`s design. What I would like to know if anyone could tell me the translation of this message. Also if the `card carried the charity surcharge of the original stamp. Many Thanks, Joe Wynn
