I would like some information on this stamp that I bought, thinking it was a 1849 1K 'Schwarzer Einser'. But, of course, on checking with the Michel Spezial I can see that it is a cruder copy. There appears to be some writing at the bottom, below the central number figure, in script. What is this 'stamp', a forgery or one of those copies produced in the 19th. century for collectors to fill in any gaps in their collections? I would be grateful for an answer.
