Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: This does not"feel" a philatelic cover, nor does it seem sturdy enough to have contained a 101 - 120 g enclosure (unless perhaps a batch of photographe in a heavy folder). Are there any other possible explanations of the 3 Mark franking? Cancelled 2 July 1947 at Berlin Lichterfelde 1, U.S. Civil Censorship, addressed to Dornach in Switzerland, backstamped there on 12 July and re-directed. Any information would be appreciated!
