Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society
The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).

The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.

Message: Philabooks in Frankfurt am Main has reprinted several highly important primary sources dating between the 1920s and the end of World War II. They include the full text of the Feldpostamtsblatt 1939-1945, which recorded military post regulations; the Luftpostlisten 1934-1944, which contained detailed air mail information; and a similar publication for the 1920s and 1930s that provides information on German sea mail. Philabooks has a good website. Some of you may be interested in these publications. I purchased copies of all three sets of books. They are strictly reprints without any commentary, but they are really detailed. Benjamin R. Beede
