Message: Does anyone have hints & tips on detecting forgeries of 3rd Reich postcards? I myself have one of the faked 'Hoffmann' photo postcard of Horst Wessel. I know that one of the ways of checking if the card is genuine is to smell it - if it smells musty (like the pages of an old book thats been hidden away in a loft) then it's probably genuine. But do you know of any other ways of checking? I'm sure that we've all been caught out at least once (learning curve :-) Thank you.
