The year 2014 marked the 50th anniversary of the first year of operation of the Germany & Colonies Philatelic Society following the amalgamation of the Germany & Colonies Stamp Club (established 1947) and the Stockton German Study Group (1960).
The G&CPS celebrated its inaugural year in 1964 with the first Germania Posta philatelic exhibition held in Stockton.
Good morning. I was hoping that someone may be able to help me identify a Danzig stamp that I have. I have 2x Mi 26 Germania issue for danzig but without the wave base printing (netzunterdruk). I cannot find reference to this anywhere in the Michel catalogue. Can someone maybe shead some light on this please. Also I am looking for information on the different colours used for this base printing. Where can I find information on this.
I would love to know if there are any un-official groups/swap groups within the club that maybe would allow me to join. I am interested in Danzig (all), Germania issues (all) and the all pre 1900 issues, errors and colours. If any one would like to contact me I would love to hear from them.
